My name is Jane Whittaker, and I’m an occupational therapist at Bright Beginnings OT. I support children aged 3–18 years and their families across Campbelltown, Warragamba and Silverdale through thoughtful, evidence-based occupational therapy. My work focuses on everyday life skills, emotional wellbeing and helping children participate meaningfully at home, school and in their community. I believe every child develops at their own pace, and my role is to meet them where they are, build on their strengths, and support them to feel safe, capable and confident in their world

Bright Beginnings OT takes a child-centred, family-focused approach, recognising that children do best when they feel understood, supported and emotionally safe.
My therapy is:
I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
At Bright Beginnings OT, I prioritise progress over perfection, focusing on strengths before challenges, regulation before expectation, and connection before compliance. I believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported and celebrated for who they are.
I believe that parents and caregivers are the most important people in a child’s world. My work is built on clear communication, collaborative goal-setting, and ongoing parent coaching and education, with a strong focus on practical and achievable strategies.
My aim is to empower families with the knowledge and tools they need to confidently support their child beyond therapy sessions, both in everyday life and throughout their occupational therapy journey.
Services are delivered with a strong focus on practical strategies that can be used in everyday life, not just during therapy sessions.
I work with children who may experience challenges with:
